When Sonuus introduced the Wahoo, a massively configurable, DAW controllable wah-wah/filter pedal, it was revolutionary and we quickly reviewed it here. Now they are offering a similarly unique and versatile volume controller that acts as a volume pedal and much more.
Benjamin Hinz’s Dwarfcraft pedals produce the kind of wild sounds Guitar Moderne readers love. He also makes hilarious videos demonstrating them. His Memento pedal ($150) is so new the test model doesn’t have the usual cool Dwarfcraft graphics on it yet. Hinz hasn’t yet produced a video either, so you will have to make do with my workmanlike demo of what it does.
They are here and they look terrific. Pedalboard and pocketbook friendly, we should have them in for review soon but in the meantime check out this taste.
Tremolo is not just an effect for roots musicians. It can be used in a variety of musical applications, with the choppier forms especially suited to modern guitar playing. Like all their pedals, Jam pedals’ new tremolo is handmade in Greece.
This is the first Guitar Moderne review to feature a dedicated video demo, so be kind.
